All Max-Level Characters:

Where did you hear about Riot?
Wowprogress.com

Do you know anyone in Riot who can vouch for you? If yes, who are they and how do you know them?
No.

Tell us why Riot should be interested in you. What benefit can you bring to the guild?
I have played for over a decade and have quite a lot of raiding experience. I am very knowledgeable about my main class (paladin) and have raided high-end content in every expansion. I am a team player and function very well in raids while still staying relaxed. While numbers are always good to bring to the team, I feel being able to do mechanics and not stand in fire benefits the group the most as dead DPS does not contribute to the group over losing a little DPS over a mechanic.

How long have you played this game?
Over 10 years.

What other guilds have you been in? Why did you leave?
I have been in several guilds over the years, the most recent being Hostile - Kil'Jaedon. Hostile will have nothing good to say about me even though I was there for all of progression, and will go out of their way to bad mouth me (one of the MANY reasons I am glad I'm not there anymore). They even screwed one of their main officers over who helped get the guild where it is today. I was removed while offline with no explanation after I called the officers out on questionable practices. I really don't want to talk anymore about it as the drama was pushing me to leave anyway, but if you want I will talk to you In private.

Describe your endgame raiding experience. Include the current and previous box release, if possible.
In WOD I am 13/13 Mythic. MOP I believe I was at 10-11/13 Heroic (Mythic).

Describe your specs. What is your preferred spec? Do you have a secondary spec? If so, what is your gear and experience like for the secondary spec?
Ret is my preferred spec while Prot serves as my secondary spec. My gear for Prot is just as good as my Ret and my experience is also just as good (I have played both just as much).

Describe what skill/spell rotation you use in your primary spec. If a rotation is not appropriate, what is your priority list?
Ret does not really have a "rotation". As for Priority (which has changed as of 7.0.3), Judgment on CD > BoW > CS x2 > TV (with Judgment debuff up) > DP proc = JV > rinse/repeat without wasting HP as abilities come off CD.

We expect you to have current and appropriate gems and enchants when you apply. If you do not have those when we review your application and your character, it will reflect poorly on you. Do you understand?
Yes.

What websites do you use to keep current on your class?
I don't anymore. The one I used was sacredduty.net but it has since not been updated in some time. I also went through mmochampion.com and reddit forums where very popular paladin theory crafters and testers posted.

Do you research boss fights before your guild attempts them? What websites do you use to become familiar with new boss strategies?
Yes. I use youtube mainly (fatboss and 2/3 minute tips) as well as check forums for any tips/addons for difficult bosses.

We raid 25-man endgame content from 8 PM to 12 AM EST three nights per week: Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Are you able to make these days and times?
Yes.

Describe any prior commitments that could change your raiding availability.
Other than "never-happened-before emergency work call?" (won't happen), none. The exception would be an actual emergency/real-life event.

Riot requires that you always bring all necessary consumables for our 25-man raids. This includes flasks/food/potions/etc., and covers all fights -- easymode and progression, heroic and mythic. Will this be a problem for you?
No, this shouldn't be a problem.

List your professions and any relevant special/epic/rare recipes you have.
Enchanting/Inscription. I have pretty much every recipe.

Post a link with a screenshot of your UI in a raid environment or, at the very least, of your UI in combat. Describe what you use for class-specific functions (cooldown timers, raid (de)buffs, damage/healing tracking, etc.) and why.
http://imgur.com/a/geU8Q I use Weakauras for most CDs, Details for dmg/healing, and of course DBM.

Post link(s) displaying your recent raid performance -- a screenshot of Recount/Skada with skill breakdowns showing or a World of Logs parse.

Have you raided with any other characters as your main during the current content release? If so, why did you switch?
No.

We define ourselves as a "hard casual" guild. That means we are committed to doing the best we can in 25-mans for the 3 nights (12 hours) we raid per week, no more, no less. We do not push a fourth night for progression. We do not require guild members to do off-night 10-mans, although many of our members choose to do this in their spare time. Is this acceptable to you?
Yes.

Do you have any guild, raid, or class leadership experience? If so, describe it.
Yes. I have lead my own guild twice back in BC/Wrath, more casual oriented but successful. I have lead MANY raids so that is not new to me, so long as the raid listens to instructions and I am able to get enough members to do said raid I have had much success. I have not been a "class" leader in some time (BC) but as I stated above I am generally very knowledgeable about my class and other classes.

We seek team players, people who want to do right by the raid and the guild. Me-firsters and loot whores are not desirable. We also seek coverage in all classes such that we'll always have enough to raid, which means you might have to sit on occasion. Do you have any concerns regarding this? (If yes, elaborate. And be honest here, as temper tantrums will not be tolerated once you're in the guild.)
No, I am fine with it. The only thing I ask is to be told why and not kept in the dark.

How old are you
29.

Do you have a reliable computer and a stable internet connection? (Describe any known issues impacting game performance, including a shared internet connection, old computer, etc.)
I just build a new computer and I have a 1 gig connection.

Do you have a Battle.net Authenticator attached to your account? If not, please let us know if you would have trouble obtaining one.
Yes, phone.

We use Mumble (NOT Ventrilo) for voice chat during raids and as such it is required that you be able to install and run it. You must, at the very least, be able to hear raid leaders during raids and, depending on your role, you may need to be able to speak. Do you understand?
Yes.

Do you own a working Microphone?
Yes.

Hello Crimson,

Thank you for your application. We will review and get back to you shortly. Just to be clear, you plan on applying as a Ret Paladin going into Legion?

Yes, I plan on Ret main spec and Prot off spec, maybe some holy but I'm leveling a Monk for that.

Hey Crimson,

We appreciate you taking the time to apply and for your interest in joining Riot. Unfortunately, we will be declining your application at this time. We wish you the best of luck on Sargeras or wherever your final destination may be.

Thanks,

Ok, any particular reason why?

The main reason is the role being applied for. We currently have a surplus of melee dps and that number is expected to grow even larger in Legion. While we are still accepting applications from all classes and roles, our roster has caused us to be a little more decisive in the players we wish to extend trials to.
